Professional Training
Waypoint Counter Surveillance Inc. is pleased to offer professional Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM), information protection and equipment specific training. Programs include those that are designed for private sector security professionals and organizations as well as programs that are restricted to government and law enforcement personnel and agencies.
Programs offer professional training for any individual or organizational requirement while providing unique and diverse insight, demonstration and exposure to a variety of specialized techniques, equipment and experience.

Possession of Devices Designed for Surreptitious Interception of Private Communications
As per section 191 of the Criminal Code of Canada:
Everyone who possesses, sells or purchases any electro-magnetic, acoustic, mechanical or other device or any component thereof knowing that the design thereof renders it primarily useful for surreptitious interception of private communications is guilty of an indictable offence.
In Canada, only government and law enforcement personnel may possess audio surveillance devices unless special licensing is issued by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). Because of this, training programs run in Canada are subject to section 191 of the criminal code and therefore cannot legally utilize such devices as there are no licenses issued for training purposes. Licenses granted for demonstration purposes are strictly for demonstration to government and law enforcement only. In addition, there is no difference in the law with regards to “test transmitters” or “training aids” if they are capable of intercepting private communications.

Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) Operations Training Program
The TSCM Operations Training Program is designed for new and developing Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) operators, as well as those looking to enter the field.
This 3-day introductory certificate training program includes a detailed overview of TSCM operations including types of services and environments, equipment operation, physical inspections, threat and vulnerability assessments and service reports.
Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) Services Management Training.
The TSCM Services Management Training Program is designed for security directors/managers, corporate personnel and those responsible for contracting and implementing technical security policies and programs.
This 2-day Professional Certificate Training Program provides a greater understanding of TSCM services, threats, equipment and operational environments required for the proper management of a service assignment or technical security program.
